Pressing the power button once does not switch on the laptop

I have just bought a surface laptop copilot pc 15 inch. The problem is when I shut down the laptop, I need to press the power button very long or multiple times before it shows the windows logo and starts. This does not happen in my surface laptop 3 where the laptop starts by just pressing the start button once. This laptop is brand new.

    Regarding your new Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC 15", I understand that you are experiencing a problem that your laptop does not power on with a single press of the power button after a shutdown, often requiring multiple or sustained presses to reach the Windows logo. 

    This behavior can sometimes occur due to how the latest generation of Surface hardware manages deep power states and firmware initialization compared to previous models like the Surface Laptop 3. To ensure your new device is responding as expected, please try the following troubleshooting steps: 

    • Firstly, try performing a hardware reset: while the device is on, press and hold the power button for approximately 30 seconds until the Surface logo appears and disappears, then release. This calibrates the power controller. 
    • Disable fast startup: This setting can occasionally interfere with the shutdown cycle. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable" and uncheck Turn on fast startup. 
    • Finally, check for firmware updates: Since this is a brand-new platform, Microsoft frequently releases updates to optimize power management. Please go to Settings > Windows Update and install all available updates, including those under Advanced options > Optional updates
