Hi @Jian Yuan Cheng,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I completely understand how frustrating it can be to dismiss the same popup every time you open Office apps, it definitely interrupts your workflow and takes extra time.
The “Chat with Copilot” popup you’re seeing was likely introduced by the product team to showcase the benefits of Copilot in Office applications. However, at this time, there isn’t an available setting to disable it, which means users need to dismiss it manually each time. This behavior has been reported by several users since mid-December, and you can see similar discussions here: How to turn off annoying Copilot pop up?!? - Microsoft Q&A
I truly understand how this impacts your experience. As a forum moderator, my role is to clarify and confirm the current behavior, I’m not able to modify or override this feature, as that falls under the product engineering team’s scope. That said, I genuinely believe your feedback is important and absolutely valid, and it should reach the right team as soon as possible. I strongly recommend posting your suggestion on the Microsoft Copilot for Service · Community portal.
This is the official channel where feedback goes directly to the product team and can be considered for future improvements.
Once you’ve shared your feedback, feel free to drop the link here. I’ll gladly vote for it to help increase visibility. In the meantime, I’ll also do my best to report this internally so the concern is noted by the relevant team.
I hope you can understand that this is all the information I’m able to provide within the scope of my position. Since many users are experiencing the same issue but may not know where to report it, if this answer helps clarify the situation and points you toward the right channel, I’d truly appreciate it if you could click “Accept Answer” for this post. Doing so will pin our discussion, making it easier for others with the same concern to find this information and support your feedback. Your voice matters, and collective feedback is a powerful way to drive improvements.
Thank you again for your patience, collaboration, and for raising this important point
