    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum

I understand that you can't create album from folder in OneDrive duo to restriction.

Some user report encountering the similar restriction when tried to create album from folder contains more than 500 photos.

Here are some workarounds you can try to bypass this restriction:

The first method is creating an empty album first, then add photos manually:

    • Creating a blank album works,
    • But adding photos has a much lower limit (around 30 at a time).

This method is tedious, but it bypasses the OneDrive restriction.

The second method is splitting the original folder into many smaller subfolders then create album from those subfolders.

The third method is using the photos tab in OneDrive and create new album from there

    • Creating an album from Photos > Albums > New album and selecting pictures avoids the folder limit entirely.

Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to continue helping you.
