If Microsoft 365 has stopped working and you're encountering issues with repair and uninstallation, here are some steps you can try:

    1. Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, simply restarting your computer can resolve issues with applications that are busy or locked.
    2. Use the Microsoft 365 Uninstall Troubleshooter: If you are unable to uninstall Microsoft 365 through the usual methods, you can run the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter. This tool is designed to help remove Office applications that are not uninstalling correctly. Make sure you are using the same Windows device where Microsoft 365 is installed.
    3. Repair Office: If you can access the Control Panel, you can try to repair Microsoft 365:
      • Open Control Panel.
      • Click on "Uninstall a program" under Programs.
      • Select Microsoft 365 and click on "Change".
      • Choose "Online Repair" and follow the prompts.
    4. Check for Conflicting Programs: Sometimes, other programs can interfere with the installation or operation of Microsoft 365. Ensure that no other installations or updates are running in the background.
    5. Manual Uninstall: If the troubleshooter does not work, you may need to follow manual uninstall steps as outlined in the Microsoft support documentation.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consult with Microsoft support for further assistance.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how frustrating it can be when Microsoft 365 apps stop working and you receive repair prompts that don’t resolve the issue. This usually happens when the Office installation becomes corrupted or when background processes prevent the repair or uninstall from completing successfully.

To resolve this, I recommend using the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) tool, which can automatically diagnose and fix Office installation issues. If that doesn’t work, you can try a manual uninstall using the Office Removal Tool from Microsoft’s official site, then reinstall Office from Microsoft 365. Additionally, ensure that Windows is fully updated and that you have administrative rights on the device.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
