An independent advisor told me to go to a site that looks unrelated to take care of my problem. I will take the advise but go through the actual website and account.

To resolve the issue of having two separate Microsoft accounts and being charged for both, you will need to consolidate your accounts. Here are some steps you can follow:

    1. Identify the Accounts: Make sure you know which account you want to keep and which one you want to close.
    2. Backup Data: Before closing any account, ensure that you back up any important data from the account you plan to close.
    3. Close the Unwanted Account: You can follow the instructions on how to close a Microsoft business account here. If you need to close a personal account, refer to the instructions for closing a personal Microsoft account.
    4. Contact Support: If you are having trouble navigating the process or need further assistance, you can contact Microsoft 365 Support for help. You can find support options here.

If you continue to experience difficulties, consider reaching out through the support channels provided by Microsoft for more direct assistance.

    Hello,

You cannot merge accounts, but you can cancel one and stick to the other. Have you decided which one you want to cancel?

Once you know what to cancel, you just need to sign into that account via https://account.live.com, then go to Subscriptions to cancel plans you are still paying.

Then you can use the instruction here to close the account: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/how-to-close-your-microsoft-account-c1b2d13f-4de6-6e1b-4a31-d9d668849979
