I have purchased Microsoft 365 Premium, that I thought came with co-pilot. I cannot get co-pilot to work on Outlook, Word or One Drive. (I am on a Mac). Do I need to buy a seperate co-pilot licence?

    Hi Dean

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Based on your description, and since your thread is tagged as For business, it sounds like you are using a Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscription. To clarify, Microsoft 365 Business Premium does not include Copilot by default. If you want to use Copilot in apps such as Word or Outlook, you will need to purchase a Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on license.

This is a separate license that can be added to eligible Microsoft 365 business plans, including Business Premium. Once the Copilot license is added and assigned to your account, Copilot should become available in the supported apps.

For more information, you can refer to the following resources:

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.

Once again, Microsoft has caused confusion by using similar names for products which differ — there is Microsoft 365 Premium & there is Microsoft 365 Business Premium. The latter does not include Copilot but the former does provide Copilot with limited usage limits for the license owner only. Copilot is not available to the other 5 possible users allowed by the license.

I do not deal with the Copilot feature itself so I cannot provide assistance with installation or usage.
