Hey everyone, I’ve been struggling with recurring crashes trigger LiveKernelEvent 141 (VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED). Here’s what’s happening and what I’ve tried so far:

System & Setup:

  • GPU: AMD RX 7600 XT
  • CPU: r5 5600
  • Windows 11 25h2

Symptoms:

After crashing the pc restart but the GPU light on the motherboard stays on and i have to hard reboot it

  • Overnight stress tests pass fine max temp 67°
  • sometimes gpu fans ramp up to max speed

What I’ve Tried:

  • Clean Windows install / full format
  • DDU + fresh AMD driver install (latest stable, not beta)
  • Stress testing the GPU overnight with FurMark / 3DMark
  • Reseating GPU and checking PSU power cables
  • Lowering in-game settings to reduce GPU load
  • Checked BIOS and made sure it’s up to date

    Hi,

what is your PC exact model? If it is brand made, reinstall graphic drivers from PC manufacturer's site using third-party DDU tool.

Dumps show corrupted AMD graphic driver. This may occur due to some hardware problem.

Try older driver versions using DDU during reinstall. Run Windows memory diagnostic tool and switch it to extended mode when it starts (F1 key). Note, test hang at ~21% for more than 5-8 hours means memory error too.

Turn off XMP mode in BIOS if it is turned on.

And please check that your RAM modes (voltage, frequency, timings) are in compliance with numbers in the motherboard compatibility list at motherboard support site for your RAM model.

    Tell the result.

To check compatibility please tell the exact motherboard model or show a screenshot of built-in msinfo32 tool.

Did you used DDU during driver reinstallation?

Clean GPU cooling system from dust. Try not undervolting but downclocking your GPU.

    Hi,

different BSOD codes often mean some hardware problem. Please run extended memory test with cache disabled.
