Outlook not working on PC. Cannot send or receive emails.

In account info there's a box called Manage. Clicking this leads to another page where theres a blue box saying Repair in SMTP configuration. Any attempt at entering a password fails. I believe I am using the correct APP password. My email account is with Virgin media , ........@ntlworld.com

Any ideas how to fix ?

    Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

    Have you ensured the account still exists by using VirginMedia webmail?

    Are you using the account password or an app specific password? If using the account password I would create an app specific password & try that if you can sign in online.

    Are you using any third party antivirus software?

    Hi Virginia, thanks for reaching out, Yes the email at virgin media is still working correctly, as is Outlook on my android phone, its just on my PC which isnt working. I created a new APP password in virgin media but this isnt solving the issue.

    I use Norton antivirus software.

    Hi Time Lady, thanks for trying to help me get my Outlook email working. In the end I removed the account and then added it back again and all seems fine now and the existing app password worked fine. Cheers Steven
