- Where are your contacts currently stored?
- Outlook / Microsoft 365 account
- Outlook.com (web)
- Microsoft Exchange
- Another service (Google, iCloud)
- Which app are you using to view contacts on your Surface Book?
- Outlook (Classic or New Outlook)
- Mail & Calendar
- People app (Note: People app is deprecated in Windows 11)
- Are you signed into the same account on your new device as before?
- Check under Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts
- Is your account a personal account or business / work / school account?
- Did you previously back up contacts (PST, Exchange, OneDrive)?
