One program I enjoyed growing up with Windows 9x was Microsoft Comic Chat, known in the OS family simply as "Microsoft Chat." It was a unique IRC client that could display a conversation in an IRC session in the style of comic strip panels. I would like to see Microsoft make it open-source in the relatively near future so we can use it on Windows 11 as well as other operating systems including macOS and Linux.

    Hello, Brandon Taylor.

Your wish is commendable, and I think many people agree with you. But unfortunately, there are no Microsoft developers on this forum. Simple users communicate here, helping each other. You can contact the developers only using the Feedback Center application (launched by pressing Win+F). Write your suggestions to the developers about Microsoft Comic Chat. If a lot of users vote for your review, then there is a chance that the developers will take your wishes into consideration.

Microsoft Comic Chat, also known as Microsoft Chat, was a unique IRC client that allowed users to engage in conversations displayed in comic strip panels. However, there is no current information or indication from Microsoft regarding plans to make Microsoft Comic Chat open-source or to support it on Windows 11 or other operating systems like macOS and Linux. As of now, Microsoft has not provided any updates on this software since its discontinuation, and it remains unavailable for modern platforms.
