Cannot sign into Microsoft apps as a student on MacOS 26.01

Whenever I try and login to any of my MacOS Microsoft applications, I cannot as it tells me: "Another account from your organisation is already signed in on this device. Try again with a different account."

I have tried everything, including removing all accounts related to Microsoft from 'internet accounts' in system settings. I don't know what else there is to do.

I use Microsoft for education.

The error comes up as:

Timestamp: [Moderator note: personal info removed]

DPTI: [Moderator note: personal info removed]

Message: AAD multiple accounts from same realm is not supported by clients.

    Hi @Arty

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum and for providing the detailed error message.

I understand that you have already tried multiple steps, including removing Microsoft accounts from Internet Accounts, and the issue is still occurring.

Could you please let me know if you have already tried all the steps below? If not, please try them to see if they help resolve the issue.

Before proceeding, please make sure to sign out of all Microsoft 365 apps.

    1.Remove Microsoft credentials from Keychain

    -Start the Keychain Access app.

-Search for and delete any entries related to Microsoft Office, OneDrive, or Outlook.

    -After deleting, restart your Mac.

    2.Reset OneAuth credentials

    -Close all Microsoft 365 apps.

-Open Terminal, and then run the following command:

defaults write com.microsoft.Word ResetOneAuthCreds -bool YES

-Open the Microsoft Word app and continue with the activation steps.

    3.Remove Office License Files:

Use the License Removal Tool to remove the Office license files on your Mac to ensure there are no conflicting or outdated license files on your device.

You can refer to this article for detailed steps: How to remove Office license files on a Mac - Microsoft Support

After that, restart your Mac and sign in again with your school account.

I hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes.
