Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

Is there any particular error message or code? If none, I recommend following the steps provided by Q&A Assist. If the issue persists, I recommend reinstalling Office:

Press the Windows key + R, then type in:

    appwiz.cpl

    Then hit OK

Look for the Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 app > Right-click, then select Uninstall

Follow the prompts to uninstall your Office app.

Then reinstall your Office app by following the steps from the link below:

When Excel and Word do not open after installing a new version of Microsoft 365, it may be due to several reasons, including issues with the installation or conflicts with previous versions. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Repair Office: You can try repairing your Office installation. For a Microsoft 365 Apps installation on Windows:
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
      • Find your Office program, select it, and click Modify.
      • Choose Online Repair and follow the prompts.
    2. Check for Updates: Ensure that both your Office applications and your macOS are updated to the latest versions. Sometimes compatibility issues arise from outdated software.
    3. Reinstall Office: If the above steps do not work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft Office to ensure a clean installation.
    4. Check for Conflicting Software: Sometimes, other software can interfere with Office applications. Make sure that there are no other applications running that might conflict with Office.

If you continue to experience issues, you may want to consult the Microsoft Community for additional support.
