I am trying to set up my outlook email on my iPhone. It does not accept the password from may outlook account on my MacBook. When I try to reset my password on my phone it doesn't have any verification options. when I do it on my MacBook, it says use a different device.
My problem is my alias / outlook email address - the password for this does not seem to be the same as my Microsoft account. So I can change the password endlessly for my Microsoft account. But I can't seem to log in to my outlook email address.
I still have this email on my outlook app on my MacBook. But when I change password on this app, it doesn't work anywhere else.

To clarify, you have already set up a verification method on your account, but when you try to reset it on your iPhone, it says that you do not have any verification method, even though you do?
Yes - for my Microsoft 365 account I have a variety of verification methods. But these don't come up when I try to reset outlook password.

If I understand correctly, you can sign in to your Microsoft account using your computer. I suggest using InPrivate mode there as well and then resetting your password. If you have other verification methods, try using them one by one to see if they allow you to reset the password.
