Your keyboard almost certainly isn't bluetooth.

The majority on sale use 2.4GHz radio signals with the USB dongle and keyboard using encrypted data packets so are paired. Even if you could get a dongle from the same manufactuere you cannot pair the new dongle with the old keyboard.

    Hi Muhammad Zubair,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on the details you shared, it appears your keyboard may rely on a proprietary wireless USB dongle for connectivity. If the dongle is missing, the keyboard typically cannot pair via Bluetooth unless the model specifically supports it.

Please check the model number on the back of the keyboard and confirm if it supports Bluetooth pairing. Some keyboards enter pairing mode automatically when no dongle is detected, while others require a key combination (often Fn + C or a Bluetooth icon key).

In case the keyboard is RF-only (Radio Frequency type), a replacement dongle will be needed. Some brands also offer universal receivers if compatible.

If you can share the keyboard brand and model, I’ll gladly help you find the official pairing steps and guide you further.

To connect your wireless keyboard via Bluetooth, you typically need to ensure that the keyboard is in pairing mode. Since you mentioned that there is no visible button for pairing, here are a few steps you can try:

    1. Check the Keyboard's Manual: Look for any specific instructions related to Bluetooth pairing for your keyboard model. Some keyboards may require a specific combination of keys to enter pairing mode.
    2. Power Cycle the Keyboard: Remove the batteries, wait for a few seconds, and then reinsert them. This can sometimes reset the keyboard and allow it to enter pairing mode.
    3. Bluetooth Settings on Laptop: On your laptop, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and ensure Bluetooth is turned on. Then try to add a Bluetooth device. If your keyboard is discoverable, it should appear in the list.
    4. Try Different Batteries: Ensure that the batteries are fresh and installed correctly. Sometimes, low battery power can prevent the keyboard from functioning properly.
    5. Use a Wired Keyboard Temporarily: If you have access to a wired keyboard, you can use it to navigate the settings and troubleshoot further.

If the keyboard still does not connect, it may be worth considering purchasing a replacement USB dongle or a new Bluetooth keyboard that explicitly supports Bluetooth pairing without a dongle.
