Hi there,

I have a user who uses Open To Close app to sync Calendar/mailbox. When the user tries her mailbox, ask for admin permission. I approved the app from the Consent and permissions in Entra. However, user is still not able to sync the calendar and keeps getting "request admin approval" pop up when she signs in The user and myself are available this Morning PST Please Advise

The Open To Close app is asking for full access to mailbox and calendar (read/write mail, send as user, full calendar and contacts). These permissions always need tenant-wide admin consent.

If the user still gets the “Request admin approval” message after you approved it, it’s usually because of one of these:

Wrong app was approved Sometimes there are multiple apps with the same name. Please check that the App ID in the approval popup matches the App ID in Entra ID → Enterprise Applications → Open To Close → Overview. If they are different, the wrong app was approved.

Not all permissions are granted Go to Entra ID → Enterprise Applications → Open To Close → Permissions and make sure all permissions (Mail.ReadWrite, Mail.Send, Calendars.ReadWrite, Contacts, offline_access, etc.) show “Granted for <tenant name>”. If anything is not granted, click “Grant admin consent”.

Delegated vs Application permissions Some apps switch between delegated and application permissions. If only one type was approved, Entra will still ask for admin approval.

Sign-in cache After granting consent, ask the user to sign out, close the browser, and sign in again (or try in a private window).

In short, this is not a user problem. It means the consent is either incomplete, given to the wrong app, or the app is requesting a different permission type than what was approved.
