    Hello rajneesh kumar,

Here are a few steps you can take to try to resolve the installation failure:

User Account Permissions: Ensure that the user account you're using to install the Azure Recovery Services Agent is a member of the Local Administrators group on the server.

Installation Directory Attributes: Double-check the installation directory to confirm it doesn't have any of the following attributes: System, Hidden, Compressed, or Encrypted.

Firewall Settings: Verify that your firewall settings allow connections to the necessary URLs:

    • *.Microsoft.com
    • *.windowsazure.cn
    • *.partner.microsoftonline.cn
    • *.chinacloudapi.cn

Clean Up Temporary Files: Ensure that the C:\Windows\Temp directory is clean and doesn’t have an excessive number of .tmp files. If there are too many files, try clearing them out.

Check System Clock: Make sure the system clock on the server is set correctly for the time zone configured on the server.

Antivirus Interference: If you have antivirus or security software running, it might be blocking the installation. Try temporarily disabling it and see if the installation succeeds.

Retry Installation: If none of the above works, consider uninstalling any previous versions of the Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent and then attempt to reinstall it.

If the issue persists after trying these suggestions, it would be helpful to gather more details for further troubleshooting. Here are some follow-up questions that could help pinpoint the problem:

    1. What operating system are you using for the Azure Backup Server installation?
    2. Are you running any specific security or antivirus software that might interfere with installations?
    3. Can you confirm if there have been any recent changes to network settings or firewall rules?
    4. Have you checked the installation logs for any more specific error messages?

Let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance! Hope this helps get you on the right track!

The error message you are encountering during the installation of the Microsoft Azure Backup Server indicates that there was an internal error (ID: 130001). Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

    1. Check Network Connectivity: Ensure that there is network connectivity between the Azure Backup Server and the Azure services. This is crucial for the installation to complete successfully.
    2. Firewall Settings: Verify that the firewall settings on your server allow access to the necessary Azure URLs. Make sure that the required ports are open and that there are no restrictions preventing the installation.
    3. Run as Administrator: Ensure that you are running the installation with administrative privileges. Right-click on the installer and select "Run as administrator".
    4. Check for Existing Installations: If there is an existing installation of the Azure Backup Server or any related components, consider uninstalling them before attempting a new installation.
    5. Review Logs: Check the installation logs for more detailed error messages that might provide additional context about the failure. These logs can often be found in the installation directory or in the Event Viewer under Windows Logs.
    6. Retry Installation: After verifying the above points, try to run the installation again after a few minutes, as the error message suggests that it may be a temporary issue.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, it may be necessary to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
