Hi Alexis. Here is how to fix this:
- Don't worry about your data: Unless you saved files directly to their OneDrive/SharePoint, they cannot see your local files on your laptop.
Cancel & Refund: Log in to account.microsoft.com using that work email. If it's a personal subscription you bought, you can usually cancel it within 30 days for a full refund.
Sign out: Open any Office app (Word/Excel), go to File > Account, and Sign Out of the work email. Then, sign in with your personal one.
- Contact Support: If you can't cancel it yourself, use the 'Contact Us' page on Microsoft's site and select 'Billing' to talk to an agent. Good luck.
