Hello Al Asri Enginneering
To check licensing details for Windows 10 and Windows Server, you can use built‑in tools rather than relying on portals. On the client side, open an elevated Command Prompt and run slmgr /dli or slmgr /xpr. The /dli switch shows the current license state and partial product key, while /xpr confirms whether the system is permanently activated or has an expiration date. For more detailed information, slmgr /dlv provides the activation ID, installation ID, and license channel.
On Windows Server, the same commands apply. If you are using Volume Licensing, you can also check activation status with cscript slmgr.vbs /ato to force reactivation, or review the KMS client setup key in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform. For environments managed through Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) or Microsoft 365 Admin Center, you can log in with your organizational account to view license assignments and keys.
If you previously accessed licensing details through a portal and now feel lost, it’s likely you were using VLSC or the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. VLSC is still the place to retrieve MAK/KMS keys and download media, while the Admin Center shows subscription‑based license assignments. If you are unsure which applies, confirm whether your environment uses perpetual volume licenses or subscription licensing.
