trouble with microsoft account and bitlocker key

Hi all, in need of help here. Recently windows update got me BIOS update, therefore i'm locked out of my laptop. It needs bitlocker key and in that regards i can get in my microsoft account. while i want to access my bitlocker key there, it prompted for security code which comes from recovery account. while i'm trying to get into this recovery account, microsoft said it doesn't exist. this confuse me and i cant get my bitlocker key. i'm trying to change recovery account but it needs a month to process. any advices on how to handle this matter ASAP, i need my data stored in this laptop for work. much appreciated for any helps.     Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

    If the account shows that it doesn’t exist then chances are it was closed due to lack of use. As for the 30 day wait to change your details this is a security feature & cannot be circumvented nor speeded up so your only option is to await the 30 days.

    It’s recommended to have at least 2 recovery options - Authenticator app &/or sms/text - in case 1 fails. Once access is restored I’d recommend adding a 2nd recovery method & saving the MS account’s recovery code as well which would restore access if all 2fa ever fails.
