My PC has all of the sudden just started to seize up when I turn on my computer in the morning. It will go through a "Diagnosing PC" and "Attempting Repairs" and sometimes even freeze while completing this action. I pressed F2 at start up and ran all of the diagnostics and not showing ANY issues. I started computer again and after it ran through the "diagnosing PC" function, it removed the last update and it now appears my PC is working. How do i prevent future security updates that reek havoc on my machine or what do i need to do to allow this security update to work properly?

Microsoft should be sued for releasing updates like this. Breaking windows explorer preview is a basic necessity of an operating system. It seems like once a month I have to roll back updates, the way they install without permission is disgusting.

It looks like there is now an additional OOB update from Microsoft (KB5078127) that is being distributed through Windows Update and that also mentions the Outlook issue:

    Hello,

There is an out of band update that fixes this bug.

    For Windows 11 23H2- https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5077797%20

    For Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2-- https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5077744%20

After you download it you can install it with cmd or powershell:

    wusa.exe "C:\Path\To\windows11.0-kb5077797-x64.msu" /quiet /norestart

FIXED: In my "crash-on-sleep" issue, the incompatible auto-startup app (one of 19 enabled) turned out to be Adobe's "Elements Auto Creations 2025.exe", discovered through an hour of trial and error. I disabled that and sleep/wake works fine now.
