Microsoft should be sued for releasing updates like this. Breaking windows explorer preview is a basic necessity of an operating system. It seems like once a month I have to roll back updates, the way they install without permission is disgusting.
2026-01 Security Update (KB5074109) (26200.7623) casuing issues with my PC
My PC has all of the sudden just started to seize up when I turn on my computer in the morning. It will go through a "Diagnosing PC" and "Attempting Repairs" and sometimes even freeze while completing this action. I pressed F2 at start up and ran all of the diagnostics and not showing ANY issues. I started computer again and after it ran through the "diagnosing PC" function, it removed the last update and it now appears my PC is working. How do i prevent future security updates that reek havoc on my machine or what do i need to do to allow this security update to work properly?

2026-01-26T18:44:14.8233333+00:00 It looks like there is now an additional OOB update from Microsoft (KB5078127) that is being distributed through Windows Update and that also mentions the Outlook issue:

2026-01-26T21:56:06.41+00:00 FIXED: In my "crash-on-sleep" issue, the incompatible auto-startup app (one of 19 enabled) turned out to be Adobe's "Elements Auto Creations 2025.exe", discovered through an hour of trial and error. I disabled that and sleep/wake works fine now.
