I have Office 365 on an old work computer with the e-mail address of ******@gmail.com. I purchased a new computer and registered it under ******@yahoo.com. I went through that Google address to order Microsoft 365 for the new computer however it could not be recognized because of the e-mail discrepancy. I could not resolve the issue so I tried to cancel that purchase and went through the Yahoo account that it's registered under and purchased Microsoft 365. That means I purchased it twice within the same day. In good faith I purchased another to complete the set up on my new computer. The first one cannot be used therefore should not be charged I want to cancel it. How do I resolve this issue?

Hi Dave, in this case, you must contact Microsoft to get a refund since this is a user-to-user support forum. I leave the steps below:

"Please get in touch with Microsoft Support for further help.

    Please go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus page

Type the ""Chat with someone"" option and press Enter.

Please click on the ""Contact support"" button at the bottom.

Select the Product and Category for support according to your requirement.

The available support methods will be shown to you.

I hope you find this information useful. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Otherwise, please take a moment to accept the answer. Wishing you good luck!

To resolve your issue of having purchased Microsoft 365 twice, you will need to cancel the subscription associated with the email address that you cannot use. Here are the steps to cancel your Microsoft 365 subscription:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the email address associated with the subscription you want to cancel.
    2. Locate your subscription: Under "Services & subscriptions," find the subscription you wish to cancel.
    3. Manage your subscription: Click on "Manage" next to the subscription.
    4. Cancel the subscription: Select "Cancel subscription" and follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation. You will retain access to the service until the end of the current billing period.

Make sure to back up any important data associated with that subscription before cancellation, as access to your data may be lost once the subscription ends. If you have any further questions or need assistance, you can contact Microsoft 365 Support for help.
