Hello, I have a PC running on Windows 10 Pro 22H2, OS build 19045.456, 64 bit operating system x64.

I no longer use that PC, but I recently realised that many files in the Private Vault did not sync meaning that they are not visible on my other Windows 11 PCs.

I can the file names with a cloud as status as well as a size larger than zero meaning that there is content.

When I click to open, Windows returns the message: "Error 0x8007017C: The cloud operation is invalid."

What can I do?

Many thanks

Tomas

    Thank you for your reply.

If it is not possible to view the files inside the Personal Vault in the cloud, https://onedrive.live.com/then they may still be stored locally on Windows 10 Pro 22H2.

It is likely that the files in the Personal Vault on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 were not fully backed up to the cloud before the device went offline.

If you bring your Windows 10 Pro 22H2 PC online, the backup to the cloud and synchronization should be complete.

    Thank you for your reply.

Please sign in to OneDrive from your browser and unlock the Personal Vault from My Files.

Alternatively, if you open OneDrive settings from the Windows taskbar and unlock it there, are you able to access it?

    Hello,

It is possible that some issue has occurred with the OneDrive application.

Would you try reinstalling OneDrive to see if the problem improves?

After reinstalling, please restart your computer.

For instructions on how to uninstall and reinstall, please refer to the support article below.
