Do Not Send Reply seems to still be working even though the feature was removed.

Hello. I do not have a problem with the feature to turn off reply emails for Calendar acceptance is gone. However, it seems like it is still defaulting to not send a reply since I had that turned on before it was deleted as an option. My calendar invites are not showing as Accepted to other people. I am showing up in all of my newly created invites from others as Didn't Accept even when I did. How can we turn off the "Don't send a Reply" consequences now that the feature is gone?

    Dear @Tana Callahan

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how inconvenient it must be to see your meeting responses not reflected correctly.

In the current Outlook on the web and New Outlook experiences, the “Accept without sending” option has been removed or simplified, so any responses you make now should be sent to the organizer.

Please see the following workarounds that will help you verify and better understand the issue:

Option 1: Test in a private browsing window

Open an incognito or private window in your browser, sign in at office.com > Apps > Outlook, and check if the behavior is the same.

Option 2: Re-send your response for affected meetings

For any meeting where others see you as “Didn’t Accept”, open the meeting and send a new response so the organizer’s tracking updates:

In Outlook on the web, open the meeting from your calendar, choose RSVP (or Change response), select Accept (or Tentative/Decline) and send the response. If you want to add a note, open RSVP and choose the option to include a message before sending.

Option 3: Review your calendar settings

This doesn’t control whether a response is sent, but it’s helpful to confirm your event and notification preferences:

Go to Outlook on the web > Settings > View all Outlook settings > Calendar > Events and invitations. Check options like “Delete invitations and responses that have been updated” and related notifications.

    Option 4: Contact Microsoft Support

Since this issue occurs in Outlook on the web, there’s no additional way to check it from your side. It will require Microsoft Support to investigate using their specialized tools.

A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation, verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis. For that reason, the most efficient solution would be to contact Microsoft’s support team directly.

    • I recommend reaching out to your IT administrator to create a support ticket via Microsoft Admin Center > Support > Help & Support.
