This usually means a broken or leftover Epson driver. Uninstall all Epson stuff, reboot, then install the latest driver as admin with the printer unplugged. Plug it in only when the installer asks. Epson drivers get stuck like this a lot.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with downloading and installing the drivers for your Epson ET 16600 printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Compatibility: Ensure that the driver you are trying to download is compatible with your version of Windows (Windows 11 in your case).
    2. Use Windows Update: Sometimes, the latest drivers are available through Windows Update. You can check for updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and selecting Check for updates.
    3. Manual Installation: If the driver download gets stuck, you might want to try manually downloading the driver from the Epson website. Make sure to download the driver specifically for the ET 16600 model and for your operating system.
    4. Clean Installation: If you have previously installed drivers, it might help to completely uninstall any existing drivers before attempting to install the new one. You can do this through Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select Remove device.
    5. Check for Errors: If the installation fails, check for any error messages that might indicate what went wrong. You can also look in the Event Viewer for any related logs.
    6. Contact Epson Support: If you continue to have issues, it may be best to reach out to Epson support for assistance, as they can provide specific guidance for your printer model.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, please provide more details about any error messages or behavior during the installation process.

    Hi,

Are you configuring the printer via USB or network?

If possible, check the device manager for driver errors.

    Thanks
