This documentation page lists orchestrator support for HBv5 machine type

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/hbv5-series-overview#software-specifications

However Azure Batch is missing from this one! Are there plans to add that or is it never going to be available there?

    Hello @Nicky,

Thank you for your question about HBv5 series support in Azure Batch. We've checked with the engineering team, and the HBv5 VM series are currently being onboarded to Azure Batch. I'll keep you updated once the process is complete or if there are any tentative dates available.

Thank you for your patience as we work through this.

The documentation for the HBv5 series virtual machines does not explicitly mention support for Azure Batch. However, Azure Batch does support various VM sizes designed for large-scale computation, including those that utilize RDMA for MPI workloads. The HBv5 series may not currently be listed as a supported option for Azure Batch, and there is no information available in the provided context regarding future plans for adding this support. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it is recommended to check the Azure documentation regularly or contact Azure support directly.
