I have a Microsoft Business Account (I am the administrator). I also have a personal account (this is what I've used to log in to, allowing me to post this question. However, I can't log in to my business account; it keeps asking for a verification code from the Google Authenticator App, which I do not have set up for my Microsoft Account. I am unable to contact or get help online, as every time, it wants me to log in, which I can't do.

I am beyond frustrated. Even if I wanted to cancel my account, which I'm being billed for every month, I can't because I can't log in!

What do I do?

If you're unable to log in to your Microsoft Business Account due to the requirement of a verification code from the Google Authenticator App, here are some steps you can take to get technical support:

    1. Contact Support via Phone: Since you're the sole administrator, you can contact the Azure Data Protection team at +1 866-807-5850. They can assist you with account access issues.
    2. Create a Trial Microsoft 365 Tenant: If you're still unable to reach a support agent, consider creating a trial Microsoft 365 tenant. This will allow you to sign in to the Admin Center and raise a support ticket directly from there. Make sure to cancel the trial subscription once your issue is resolved to avoid any unintended charges.
    3. Use Security Information: If you have security information set up, you might be able to reset your password using your mobile device. This option is only available if your global admin has enabled it.
    4. Online Support: If you can access the admin center, you can start a service request online. Go to the admin center, select Help & support, and follow the prompts to contact support.
    5. Check for Other Admins: If there are other global admins in your organization, ask them for assistance in resetting your password or accessing the account.

These steps should help you regain access to your Microsoft Business Account and get the support you need.

If and when you are finally able to sign in, go here: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info

and on that page, click Change, and add a different Sign-in method when most advisable is unavailable.
