Hey, you friends in Microsoft and not so customer/subscriber-friendly people in Microsoft. We have paid to Microsoft for OS or Apps which are being dished out by Microsoft as it was for the entitled updates for OS& Apps. So when an update is released, the funny Microsoft is obliged to (a) le t us know/ notify us ( on running the Check for Updates) if that update is meant for manual update as Microsoft could not include it under Auto-update for whatever reason. (b) Also, it you are delaying it for your inability to offer the updates without delay and then give a funny reason ( under the pretense of) of phased roll-out, then you have to let us ( who paid Microsoft) that when an update was released and whey we are expected to get it under your delayed roll-out for those customers you fail to offer the update promptly. Just because the customers as individuals, we are weak and will tolerate whatever you impose on us. Unfortunately, it’s the job of the governments to act on behalf of the customers of the respective country to teach Microsoft to behave better than taking advantage of the individual customers of the respective country. To our knowledge, only Australia dared to do so recently, for forcing ( without asking for) half-cooked Copilot ( with not right-click menu, akin to smart lookup, for accessing resources from web etc.) to M365 subscribers for a huge hike in the subscription fees. There are many such undesirable behaviours from Microsoft, like why we need to manually update Microsoft 365 & Office ( the name itself keeps changing and is not consistently used by these people) when all other Apps’ suppliers, even the free ones undergo auto-update, while for MS Office, we need to navigate for a manual update. Their OneDrive App got very nauseating behaviors for they take our money as well. When we raise a ticket, those who appear to help seeming have little or limited knowledge and then they themselves google to offer solutions, some of which are very absurd. ( Like an issue to be resolved by a simple deletion in matter of seconds, their Tier -2 support team offered to clean-install the OS, which is very very painful, risky and drain our time & other resources. ) Please protest/ raise your voice against these injustices meted out to those who pay Microsoft & get unfair treatments from them.

It is clearly stated in the KB that it requires manual update by downloading the cab file from Microsoft Update Catalog and not available as automatic "windows update".

It is not a "phased rollout".

By definition, an emergency out-of-band update that affects a small group of users (in this case enterprise azure sign in) does not have the requisite testing required to be deployed to the general public (especially when the issue being fixed doesn't affect 99.9% of the general population), therefore the bug fix will be incorporated into next months patch Tuesday release.

Basically after reading 1-3, you don't want to be a guinea pig sticking your neck out to apply a patch that doesn't affect you personally, especially an emergency patch that hasn't got thorough testing.

It is mainly for remoted desktop so if you have Home edition it is not relevant.
