My previous outlook email was hacked, how to completely delete it and have it no longer accessible?

I had an old email that was hacked and I am afraid to access it, how do I completely delete this email?

    You cannot close or delete a Microsoft/Outlook account if you no longer have access to it. Only someone who can successfully sign in to the account can request its closure.
