    Hi Frank Roberts,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum about the difficulty you’re experiencing when trying to add a user to your Microsoft 365 Family account. I understand how frustrating it must be not to see an invitation email generated after several attempts.

Here are some detailed steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

    1. Confirm Your Subscription Type
    2. Add a Family Member via the Family Page
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/family.
      • Select Add a family member.
      • Enter the email address of the person you want to invite. Make sure the email is correct and active.
      • Choose whether to add them as an adult or child, then click Send invite.
    3. Check Spam/Junk Folder
      • Ask the invited person to check their spam or junk mail folder. Sometimes the invitation email may be filtered there.
    4. Resend the Invitation
      • If the invite was not received, return to the Family page, select the pending invitation, and choose Resend.
    5. Alternative Sharing Method

Hopefully my response gives you some useful direction toward fixing this. If things still don’t work out, feel free to share an update, I’ll be happy to assist further.

To add a user to your Microsoft 365 family account, ensure that you are following the correct steps. Here are some troubleshooting tips:

    1. Check Email Settings: Ensure that the email address you are trying to add is correct and that there are no issues with your email provider that might prevent the email from being received.
    2. Use the Admin Center: Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center and attempt to add the user again. Make sure to follow the steps for adding a user as outlined in the Microsoft documentation.
    3. User Name Conflicts: If you receive an error stating that a user with that name already exists, you may need to choose a different username or check existing accounts to resolve any conflicts. You can do this by connecting to Exchange Online and running a PowerShell command to check for existing email addresses.
    4. Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance, as they can provide more specific help regarding your account.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, it may be beneficial to consult the Microsoft support resources for further guidance.
