Welcome Betty Muhammad,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum. I am sorry to hear that you’re experiencing an issue where no sound is coming from your HP computer.
Complementing the earlier ideas, you could also look into the following options:
Option 1: Verify Sound Settings
- Open Settings > System > Sound and ensure the correct output device (like speakers or headphones) is selected as default.
- Go to Control Panel > Sound > go to the Playback tab, right-click your device, and select Test to check if sound plays.
- In the classic Sound Control Panel (via search), go to the Playback tab, right-click your device, and select Test to check if sound plays
Option 2: Restart Audio Services
- Open Windows Run dialogue (Windows + R) and type services.msc> find Windows Audio > right-click it > select Properties > set Startup type to Automatic, and click Restart. Repeat for "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
Option 3: Disable Audio Enhancements
- Disable audio enhancements: In Sound settings, select your device > Scroll down to Advanced settings > Audio enhancements > Off
