Open the Settings App, go to Windows Updates - Update History, what is the KB number of the latest update installed, is it, KB5074109?

If that is the latest update installed, this is an ongoing problem with Outlook after the January Update, that update is affecting Outlook POP accounts, this is being reported by many people after that update, some people have reported if you uninstall the Windows update, that will resolve the problem, also, it is best to open the Feedback Hub app in Windows and report this to the Windows developers, if more people report this, then they will investigate the problem and provide a patch for this problem.

To address the issues you're experiencing with Outlook Classic, where sent emails are not showing up in the Sent Items folder and you cannot open Outlook, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that you have installed the latest updates for Outlook. Sometimes, issues can arise from not having the most recent patches.
    2. Close Background Processes: If Outlook is not opening properly, it may still be running in the background. You can open Task Manager and end any Outlook processes that are still active. This may allow you to open Outlook again without restarting your computer.
    3. Repair Microsoft 365 Programs: If Outlook continues to have issues, consider repairing your Microsoft 365 installation. You can do this through the Control Panel under Programs and Features.
    4. Check for Add-ins: Sometimes, previously installed add-ins can interfere with Outlook's functionality. Try starting Outlook in safe mode (you can do this by holding down the Ctrl key while opening Outlook) to see if the issue persists. If it works in safe mode, consider disabling or removing problematic add-ins.
    5. Create a New Profile: If your user profile has become corrupted, creating a new Outlook profile may resolve the issue. You can do this through the Mail settings in the Control Panel.
    6. Uninstall Recent Updates: If the issues started after a recent update (like the January 2026 Security Update), you might want to consider uninstalling that update to see if it resolves the problem.

If these steps do not resolve your issues, you may need to seek further assistance or consider reinstalling Outlook.
