Hi @AP Accounting,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Regarding the OneDrive shared folder visibility issue. I’d like to ask a quick questions to better understand your situation and assist you effectively:
- Is the problematic account a personal Microsoft account, work/school account (Microsoft 365), or guest/external user?
- Are you checking access via OneDrive on the web (onedrive.live.com or office.com), the synced File Explorer/Finder, or the mobile app?
- Does the specific account receive any sharing notifications or emails? Can they see the shared folder listed under "Shared with me" on the OneDrive website?
- Have you verified the permissions on the top-level folder (e.g., "Can edit" vs. "Can view") and any nested subfolders for that account?
- What type of device/OS (Windows, Mac, mobile) and OneDrive app version is the affected account using? Has OneDrive been recently updated, reset, or re-synced?
- If possible, a screenshot of what the affected account sees (hide sensitive info) would be helpful.
In the meantime, please try the following:
First select "Manage access" of that folder
Check if the account is on the list, if not select "grant access"
Then grant access to that account
Thank you again for your time and understanding. While my initial response may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details about your situation so I can assist you more effectively.
I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response.
Wishing you and your family a prosperous New Year.
