"Snipping Tool is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Microsoft Store and try again. Here's the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001"

I have tried EVERYTHING. I have restarted my computer 4x in the process, reset the microsoft store 5x, repaired it, deleted it and re-installed it, signed in and out of the microsoft store multiple times, added another email to the store to try and use another account. NOTHING works. What the heck?

I was using it earlier today. I didn't restart my computer or download anything or do anything unusual before it just stopped working. I rely on the tool for work so this sucks.

    FIXED!!!

In case this helps anyone else: Delete and re-install the snipping tool itself. Don't bother with the Microsoft Store like all the advice I found.

Search for the tool in the start tab, right click to go to the app settings, scroll down and press uninstall. Then search for it again in the start tab and it will be the .exe file to reinstall it. This finally fixed it after hours!!!

Removing devices from my account did not resolve this issue. I also had to uninstall and reinstall snipping tool.

Microsoft has become an absolute joke.

I have the same issue, but it isn't only the snipping tool. Lenovo vantage has the same problem. The windows troubleshooters wont work either for me. I'm trying a system restore now I'll update if it works

Thanks for saving me all the time figuring it out! Same issue - was using it just an hour ago and then got an error.
