Latest update "broke" background picture so it goes solid black. Please fix..

All drivers were up-to-date even Norton virus, video drivers, etc., etc. If there are any questions about my experience in Windows been in IT, work and home for over 40 years through all versions of Windows. I've seen the forums and others including mine with almost completely different PC's have experienced the same issue. This is a definite "break" on your side. Please fix... and thanks.

    Hello,

    Just to clarify since you mentioned this being a break on our side, this is a user community forum and we are not Microsoft employees. We can't deploy code fixes for the OS.

    I assume you have done the standard reboots, but have you checked if the update toggled the Show desktop background image setting located within the Ease of Access (or Accessibility) Center under Visual Effects?

    That setting often gets disabled during updates and overrides the standard Personalization menu, resulting in a solid black screen regardless of what driver is installed.
