Emails stored in a pst file no longer opening

The contents of emails stored locally in a pst file are suddenly no longer visible. Trying to open one produces the message "your message can't be displayed right now" instead of the content. The emails themselves are still all there, as are all the folders and subfolders in which they're stored. The email opens up normally when it's moved manually out of the pst file to an account such as my Hotmail account but doesn't when it's moved back to its original folder. I've tried all the fixes I found online, repairing and reinstalling Outlook, re-indexing, repairing the pst files using scanpst, relocating the pst file etc. Nothing works.

I did the following to solve the problem:

    1. In classic outlook I moved one folder of pst file in the inbox of my imap mail account.
    2. Afterwords I moved it into archive folder of my impa mail account. Also in classic outlook.
    3. At least I moved the folder in classic outlook back to my pst file.
    4. Closed classic outlook.
    5. Opened pst file in new outlook and a miracle happened. I could open all emails in every folder not only the moved one.

This was toatally creapy and could not the official solution for this problem by microsoft.
Hope it works for you as well.

    regards

    Werner
