To roll back the latest security update on your Windows device, you can follow these general steps:

    1. Access Settings: Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security.
    2. View Update History: Click on Windows Update and then select View update history.
    3. Uninstall Updates: At the top, you should see an option to Uninstall updates. Click on it.
    4. Select Update: In the list of installed updates, find the latest security update that you want to roll back, select it, and then click on Uninstall.
    5. Restart Your Computer: After the uninstallation is complete, restart your computer to apply the changes.

If you are unable to log in or access these settings due to the update issues, you may need to boot into Safe Mode to perform these actions. To do this:

    • Restart your computer and repeatedly press the F8 key (or Shift + F8) before Windows starts loading to access the Advanced Boot Options.
    • From there, select Safe Mode and follow the steps above to uninstall the update.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, consider seeking further assistance or performing a system restore if you have a restore point available.

    1

    Open the Settings app.

Go to Update and Security - Windows Updates - Update History, scroll down and select Uninstall Updates.

From there, you should be able to uninstall the latest update.

    2

If that process does not resolve the problem.

Click your Start Button, then just type rstrui and press Enter.

That will open the System Restore utility, check if you have a System Restore point dated before the problems started that you can roll your system back to.
