You indicate you have McAfee installed, if so, that should take over the security of your PC from Windows security and disable many of the Windows Security features.
If you have McAfee installed, open McAfee, these are the steps McAfee provide to add an exclusion to their security app.

Otherwise, in Windows, open the Settings app.
Go to Windows Security - Virus & threat protection, click Manage settings under Virus & threat protection setting.
Scroll down to Exclusions, click 'Add or Remove Exclusions.
