Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse p/n 7N9-00001 continusly disconnects from bluetooth on my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop. There is no power setting in device manager for these products, so the solution suggested doesn't work.

- deleted and restored Microsoft drivers
- deleted and restored Realtek drivers
- completely reimaged the computer from ISO copy
- turned off Realtek power management.
none of these solutions worked.
THIS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS DELL LAPTOP. Or, the keyboard and mouse are broken

2026-02-04T03:54:02.85+00:00 I've spent over a week working on this issue both with Microsoft and with Dell. The Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse p/n 7N9-00001 will not stay paired with the Dell Inspiron 15 3530. I have come to the conclusion that the Microsoft product is either defective, or that Microsoft's bluetooth interface WITH THEIR WON PRODUCTS is defective.
I have now purchased a Dell mouse and keyboard with a dongle that plugs into the USB port. Unfortunately, I am going to go with this option due to the lack of Microsoft support for their own bluetooth products.

You mentioned that you have already tried some solutions. May I ask what these solutions are?
Are both the Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse working on another device?
Does your Bluetooth have problems connecting to other Bluetooth devices aside from the Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse?
Has this happened only recently with the same Bluetooth devices?In the meantime, try to shut down your computer. Remove any Bluetooth devices on connected devices setting. Press the SHIFT key + Shutdown. Unplug your power cable or adapter and other peripherals from the PC for 30 seconds, then plug the power cable or adapter again and turn it on. Try connecting them again.
