Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
If you are unable to see the content of recent emails in Outlook while the sender and subject line are visible, it may be due to a few reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
- Check Cached Mode: Sometimes emails do not appear in Cached mode even if they were synchronized. You can try switching to Online mode to see if the content appears there.
- Clear Offline Items: Right-click on the Inbox folder, select Properties, then go to the General tab and click on Clear Offline Items. After that, press Shift+F9 to force a resynchronization of your Inbox folder.
- View Settings: Ensure that no filters are applied that might be hiding the email content. You can check the filtering options in the View tab under View Settings.
- Repair Outlook: If the above steps do not work, consider running a repair on your Outlook application. This can often fix issues related to email display.
- Registry Key: In some cases, issues with email content can be related to missing registry keys. Ensure that the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Clients\Mailexists on your system.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consult further resources or support for Outlook.
