Anyone else having a problem this morning with Excel Stock Price updates? This happened at year end 2025 and here we are again. The function is not working on Microsoft's side.

i am having the same issue as of noon central standard time on 1/23/2026. the odd thing, i don't see as many comments. early january everyone was commenting, so maybe we are the unlucky ones and on a bad server.
UPDATE: Seems to be updating now. Checked a few prices. Ctl-Alt-F5 did not return an error message. Still having an issue if I add a new Symbol though.

This afternoon, 12 of 13 etf/mf symbols work fine with StockHistory function. One etf, VPL, fails consistently. Are there known problems in the data set?

Absolutely, I think they get notified automatically when this type of issue happens.
Yes Joe, I completely agree. At that time Teams were on vacation as there are minimal operations during holidays :)

Last time this happened at the beginning of the year it took them 5 days to fix it

The problem is that comments are scattered over 4 or 5 posts. And that you made your reply at start of US trading day. As we get closer to end of the trading day you will find more and more upset customers.
I was told once that it helps if people coming along to view these click on the Vote button as that helps upgrade the post on MS's radar.
Please hit Vote on every post so that MS takes this seriously.
