Dear Support team

I tried to redeem my product key for Microsoft Project Professional 2024. When clicking the link to either download "x64-" or "x32-bit version" the download page shows the following error and I am not able to download project Professional 2024 at all!

"Service Unavailable

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties.

Please try again later."

This is the third time I attempt to download the file in 14 days

This is very frustrating and I would like to get an alternative download link for Project Professional 2024!

Thanks

Best regards

Chris

    Dear @Christian B. Sax,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand you are trying to download Project Professional 2024 after redeeming your product key, but every time you click the x64 or x86 link, you only see a “Service Unavailable” error. You have already tried several times over the past 14 days, and you still cannot get the installer.

From the error message, it seems the download service for Project Professional 2024 is having technical issues on the server side. This usually happens on Microsoft’s download portal, not because of your device or browser.

Before we continue, may I check if you had a chance to review the automated replies provided by our AI on the support portal? Sometimes those steps help identify the cause.

To better assistance, could you please confirm following information:

    • Where did you purchase the product key? (Microsoft Store, authorized reseller, Workplace Discount Program, Volume Licensing, or a third‑party marketplace)
    • Which page are you using to start the download?
    • Do you see Project Professional 2024 under Services & subscriptions after redemption?
    • Are you signed in with the same Microsoft account that redeemed the key?
    • Does the error appear immediately after clicking 64‑bit/32‑bit, or only after a brief redirect?
    • Have you tried InPrivate/Incognito and a different browser (Edge/Chrome/Firefox)?
    • Have you tried from a different device or network (with VPN/proxy turned off)?
    • When did you redeem the key?
    • Do other downloads from your Microsoft account work normally?

Your detailed response will help us diagnose and investigate the issue more efficiently.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If I misunderstood what you’re looking for, feel free to let me know or share a screenshot. I’d be happy to help further!

I'm looking forward for your reply. Thank you for your cooperation.

It seems that you are experiencing a technical issue while trying to download Microsoft Project Professional 2024. The error message "Service Unavailable" indicates that there may be a temporary problem with the download service. Here are a few steps you can consider:

    1. Wait and Retry: Since this is a recurring issue, it might be best to wait a little while and try again later, as the error suggests that the service is currently unavailable.
    2. Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and try accessing the download link from a different browser or device.
    3. Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance. They may be able to provide you with an alternative download link or further troubleshooting steps.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide an alternative download link directly, but contacting support may yield a solution to your issue.
