My Outlook is showing error messages and not working properly. Emails are not syncing, I am unable to send or receive messages, and sometimes Outlook freezes or becomes very slow. It also fails to connect to the server even when my internet is working fine.

I have tried restarting Outlook and my system, but the issue is still there. Please help me with a solution to fix this problem.

To fix Outlook not syncing, freezing, or failing to connect, first ensure Work Offline is turned off in the Send/Receive tab. Then open Outlook in Safe Mode (outlook.exe /safe) to check if add-ins are causing the issue; disable them if needed. If the problem continues, repair the Outlook data file (PST/OST) using the Inbox Repair Tool and run a Quick Repair of Microsoft Office from Control Panel. If none of these work, creating a new Outlook profile usually resolves the issue.

To resolve the issues you're experiencing with Outlook, consider the following potential solutions based on common causes:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that you have the latest updates installed for Outlook. Sometimes, performance issues can arise from outdated software.
    2. Disable Add-ins: A previously installed add-in may be interfering with Outlook. Try disabling all add-ins to see if that resolves the issue.
    3. Repair Outlook: If Outlook data files are corrupted or damaged, repairing your Microsoft 365 programs may help. You can do this through the Control Panel under Programs and Features.
    4. Antivirus Software: If your antivirus software integrates with Outlook, it may cause performance issues. Consider disabling the integration or any add-ins related to your antivirus software.
    5. Create a New User Profile: Sometimes, a corrupted user profile can cause issues. You can create a new user profile in Outlook to see if that resolves the problem.
    6. Selective Startup: Perform a selective startup to identify if any background applications are causing conflicts with Outlook. This involves disabling non-essential services and startup items.
    7. Check Internet Connection: Although you mentioned your internet is working fine, ensure that Outlook is configured correctly to connect to the server. Sometimes, server settings may need to be adjusted.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consult with a technical support professional for further assistance.
