    Hello

Excel desktop app version cannot run in Chromebook OS. Your only option is to do it via the app by accessing https://www.office.com > apps.

This is the instruction how to Add Shapes via the web: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-shapes-0e492bb4-3f91-43b5-803f-dd0998e0eb89#officeversion=web

Yes, you can use shapes in Excel for the web, which is part of Microsoft 365. In Excel for the web, you can add and format shapes such as boxes, circles, lines, connectors, or arrows in your spreadsheet. This feature is available when you access Excel through OneDrive on your Chromebook.

To use shapes, you can find the option to insert them in the toolbar of Excel for the web. This allows you to enhance your spreadsheets visually by adding various shapes as needed.
