New WIN 11 PC created a User becoming the default. How do I remove it?

I have a User named 1dack which I did not create when I setup my new WIN 11 PC. I used the PC for a few days before noticing that Onedrive was activated. I subsequently created a User I wanted to be the default but did some DOS command line operations to remove, so I thought, the 1dack User account but it remains. How can I "safely" remove this User from my PC? I created another User and made it administrator as well. Will a Windows 11 "refresh" fix this? I am unsure how to do a refresh though. Thanks for any suggestions.

    It is a bit unclear.

Can you please hold down Windows + R keys, type in netplwiz and press enter, then share a screenshot please. Please edit it to partially mask your email address if present, to protect your privacy.

To safely remove a user account in Windows 11, follow these steps:

    1. Open Settings: Click on the Start menu and select the Settings icon (gear icon).
    2. Accounts: In the Settings window, click on "Accounts".
    3. Family & other users: On the left sidebar, select "Family & other users".
    4. Select the User: Under the "Other users" section, find the user account (in your case, 1dack) that you want to remove.
    5. Remove the User: Click on the user account, and you should see an option to "Remove". Click on it, and then confirm the removal.

If you have already attempted to remove the user account through command line operations, it’s possible that some remnants of the account still exist. In that case, ensure that you are logged in as an administrator when performing these actions.

Regarding the Windows 11 "refresh", this typically refers to resetting the PC to its original state, which can help in some situations but is more drastic as it may remove apps and settings. If you want to proceed with a refresh, you can do so by going to Settings > System > Recovery and selecting "Reset this PC". However, this should be a last resort if other methods do not work.

Make sure to back up any important data before performing a refresh or removing user accounts.
