I've lost access to my account. The hacker deleted my email adress so I can’t login (this account is one I just created) when I try to login to my devices, there another email adress that is linked to my account.

I woke up this morning to several emails from LinkedIn asking to connect my account. My LinkedIn as been compromised as well as my whole Microsoft account. I can’t access anything because the email adress to my account as been changed (my email adress being completely deleted) I can’t login anywhere (no Microsoft, no Xbox, No MS 365, no copilot, no edge, nothing) And when I try it says that my email doesn’t exist (try another one or create a new account). When I open authenticator, my email is sitll there however to view the information, It show that it needs to send a notification to the hacker email

    Hello Bryan Mbuya,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I understand that you are having issue with losing access to your Microsoft account. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.

With your situation, I suggest you submit an Account Recovery Form:

Go here on a safe device or browser: https://account.live.com/acsr

    You will need to enter:

    • The original email address you created (even if Microsoft says it “doesn’t exist”)
    • A different email where Microsoft can contact you
    • As much information as you can about your account

Important note to increase your chances is preparing every detail you can remember:

    • Old passwords
    • Apps/services you recently used (Xbox, Outlook, Office, OneDrive)
    • Exact subjects of emails you sent
    • Linked devices (Android, Windows PC, Xbox)
    • Your date of birth
    • Credit card or subscription info (if any)
    • When you created the account
    • Security info you had before being hacked (old phone number, old backup email)

The more details you provide, the higher the chance of recovery. Microsoft will email you the result within 24 hours. If the form fails the first time, don't worry. Many users recover their accounts only on the second or third attempt. Between attempts:

    • Wait 24 hours
    • Try using a different device or network
    • Add more details

I also suggest you immediately secure all other accounts:

    • Change passwords for baking, social media apps...
    • Check your phone for suspicious apps
    • Remove unknown devices from your mobile account
    • Alert your carrier if you suspect SIM‑swap signs

I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.

    Best Regards,
