    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft community and sharing what’s happening with your Microsoft account, please allow me to guide you on how to fix this, Did you install Microsoft Office yourself?

Or did a friend install it for you?

Do you have a Microsoft account or product key?

What message appears when you open Word/Excel?

Please let me know so I can help you better, looking forward to your response.

    Warm regards,

    Edward

To activate Microsoft Office on your laptop, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Your Microsoft Account: Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and log in with the Microsoft account that you used to purchase or activate Office. You should see your Office license listed there.
    2. Install Office: If your license is visible, click on the Install button to download the Office installer. Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
    3. Activation: After installation, open any Office application (like Word or Excel) and sign in with your Microsoft account to activate it. If prompted, enter the product key if you have one.

If you encounter any issues during activation, ensure that you have the correct version of Office installed that matches your license. If necessary, you can uninstall the current version using the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter and then reinstall the correct version.
