I want to join my husband's Microsoft 365 Family subscription. I had my own Family subscription, which I just cancelled, but it says it will remain active until March. I want to ensure I am on his subscription so I do not lose access to any of my files.

    Hello !

The AI answer above is correct. You'll need to wait the end of your current subscription before joining your husband's one.
Keep in mind that you won't lose any OneDrive data during the subscription switch : OneDrive allows 60 days of read-only mode. Once you switch back to a paid Microsoft 365 subscription, you'll be able to edit files.

Please let me know if you have any other question !

To join your husband's Microsoft 365 Family subscription, you will need to ensure that your own subscription is fully canceled and that you have access to the email associated with your husband's subscription. Since your subscription will remain active until March, you can wait until it expires or cancel it immediately if you prefer.

Once your subscription is canceled, your husband can invite you to join his Family subscription. He can do this by going to the Microsoft account services page and sending you an invitation. After you accept the invitation, you will have access to the shared features and files associated with his subscription.

To avoid losing access to your files, ensure that you back them up or save them in a location that you can access independently of your subscription, such as OneDrive or another cloud storage service.
