Hello,

for months, I try to report a bug with Outlook (classic) and Windows 11 Search Indexer, for example here and here, but until now, this bug was neither registered nor fixed because it's not easy to observe.

Microsoft Moderator Gabe Bratton who already helped in a similar case recommended:

For the search issue you are seeing the best thing to do is to submit an In App ticket via Help, Contact Support. Contact Support is only available for Office Subscription.

But although I have an Office subscription, "Help / Contact Support" ist not available: When I click on "?" (Help), a "not available" message occurs, die admin of my organization would have deactivated a necessary service. But I use Office stand-alone, there is no organization. So how can I send the bug report to Microsoft? I already used the feedback option instead some time ago, but no answer from Microsoft.

Thank you Stefan, but is the mentioned feedback portal a different channel than the feedback option in Office, via which I already send the bug report, but without an answer from Microsoft?

Feedback should go to the same people, regardless of where you post it. The advantage of using the feedback portal is that other users can see your feedback and vote for it.

If you represent an organization (business, education), you may have more options to report bugs and suspected bugs, for example via the admin center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft/?#/servicehealth.

P.S. Microsoft usually doesn't reveal how they prioritize feedback (except that any issue which may lead to data loss gets high priority).

The portal at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback is a good way to post feedback. This ensures that the feedback will be read by Microsoft developers. You get the option to submit your e-mail address, but note that you usually won't get a response.

The mentioned site says: I have not admin permission. So I also can't use this way.

It's extremely hard to contact Microsoft - this is obviously a strategy?

To contact Microsoft support for reporting a bug, you can follow these steps:

    1. Access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Go to the admin center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft. Note that you need to have admin permissions to access this page.
    2. Help & Support: On the bottom right side of the page, select Help & support.
    3. Submit a Question: Type your question or keyword into the text box. If the results do not help, select Contact Support at the bottom.
    4. Describe Your Issue: Enter a detailed description of your bug report, confirm your contact information, and choose your preferred contact method.
    5. Contact Support: After filling in the necessary details, select Contact me to submit your request.

If you are unable to access the Help & Support option due to admin restrictions, you may need to reach out to your IT administrator to enable this feature or assist you in submitting the report.

Additionally, you can report issues via the Feedback Hub app, which allows you to submit feedback directly to Microsoft, although it may not guarantee a response.
