The backspace and directional arrows will only move one space at a time - there is a 1 2 second pause between text. Also, there is a 1 - 2 second pause between text when typing identical letters (i.e. "rr") Any advice is much appreciated!

It sounds like you are experiencing input lag with the backspace and directional arrow keys. Here are a few suggestions that might help resolve this issue:

    1. Check for Background Processes: Sometimes, background applications can consume system resources and cause lag. Check your task manager to see if any processes are using a high amount of CPU or memory.
    2. Update Drivers: Ensure that your keyboard and graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can lead to performance issues.
    3. Keyboard Settings: Check your keyboard settings in the control panel. Sometimes, settings related to repeat delay and repeat rate can affect how the keys respond.
    4. Hardware Issues: If possible, try using a different keyboard to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is hardware-related.
    5. System Performance: Consider checking your system performance settings. If your system is running low on resources, it may affect input responsiveness.

If the problem continues, you may want to consult with a technical support professional for further assistance.
