How do I cancel my MS Office subscription, I cannot pay for service.

I understand that you would like to cancel your Microsoft Office subscription because youdon't want to continue paying for the service. I can help guide you through the correct steps based on the type of account you are using.

Before cancelling, please confirm whether the subscription was purchased using a personal Microsoft account (such as @outlook.com, @gmail.com, etc.) or if you purchased it as the administrator or owner of an organization’s Microsoft 365 tenant.

If you are the owner or administrator of a Microsoft 365 business tenant:

Since you mentioned that you paid for the service, it is possible the subscription is tied to a business plan purchased through the Microsoft 365 admin portal. If that is the case, you can cancel the subscription directly by following these steps:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center: https://admin.microsoft.com
2. Go to Billing
3. Select Your products
4. Choose the subscription you want to cancel
5. Select Cancel subscription, then follow the prompts

Only a Global Administrator or Billing Administrator can perform this action. Once cancelled, the subscription remains active until the end of the billing period, and after that, the data will be retained for a limited time before deletion.

If you are using a personal Microsoft account:

If the subscription was purchased under a personal account, you can cancel it here:

1. Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services
2. Sign in using the same personal account used during purchase
3. Under Microsoft 365, select Manage
4. Choose Cancel subscription

You will still have access until the end of the paid period.

To cancel your Microsoft Office subscription, follow these steps based on the type of billing account you have:

For MCA Billing Account Type:

1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
   • If you're using the Simplified view, select Subscriptions.
   • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
3. In the Billing settings section, under Subscription status, select Cancel subscription.
4. If you’re within the grace period, select a reason for canceling, provide optional feedback, and then select Cancel subscription.
5. If you’re outside the grace period, you can only turn off recurring billing.
6. To turn off recurring billing, select edit the recurring billing settings, choose Off, and then select Save.

For MOSA Billing Account Type:

1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
   • If you're using the Simplified view, select Subscriptions.
   • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
3. In the Subscription and payment settings section, select Cancel subscription.
4. Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation.

Make sure to back up any important files before canceling, as access to your data may be lost once the subscription ends.
